boot fitting guide

This is a subject where many opinions, write ups, and reccommendations tend to persuade "you" into selecting a ski boot. Now all of these inputs are educational and you need to be educated before you can go out and look for the "Perfect fit". given the simple fact that no two feet are the same a Ridgeline specialist would analyze your biomechanics, foot dimensions, skiing ability, and if any past injuries. With all this data we collect from you we then select several boots for you to try on, and what you want to look for is a snugg fit, and your foot should be in contact with the liner in as many spots as possible, the more contact points you foot has with the boot increases performance, and stability. When you have tried on several differnet pairs you then select the one that fit the best put them on both feet to make sure they both feel comftorable, once we have established that we then keep one boot on and try on each of the other boots to make sure this is the boot for you.

Next step is a custom foot bed, that floppy piece of foam called the "footbed" from the manufacturer does not give you any suppport and could creat some un wanted pains down the road. Email Tom or Frank or give us a call we always look forward to educating and hearing feedback from our future and current clients.

Those with super wide feet we have you covered. we have several models with last from 102-105mm we can also work on the shell by blowing it out in neccessary areas but for the most part getting you fit into the right boot, and making a custom footbed you will not have to do any work on the shell, the less modifications you make to the shell the better off you are.
